They come under the standard ANSI B18.2.2. . The nuts range from ¼ inches to 4 inches in nominal size and have up to 175ksi proof load stress. The astm a563 dh heavy hex nuts have minimum of 248 hardness score. The material of these nuts can contain carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, nickel and molybdenum based on the material grade.
